Description

Going on a cruise should be a break from murder and mystery, but for Amy and Ambrose, that's not the case.

Despite going away to celebrate Amy's birthday, the duo quickly find themselves involved in a mystery onboard when a fellow passenger turns up dead.

With limited resources, and needing the cooperation of the crew, their work is cut out for them if they don't want the killer to escape the moment they dock.

Can they unravel the mystery in time?

Amy and Ambrose went to go on a cruise with friends for her birthday but not much of a birthday cruise ended up solving a murder. Good book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Amethyst's friends are going to help her celebrate her thirtieth birthday in style, but even they hadn't planned on giving her what she enjoys most, and stumbling across a murder in need of solving. This done in one story is a great deal of fun, in large part because Detective Ambrose, ME Stacy, forensics expert Gabriel and consultant Amethyst are not just in mental/emotional vacation mode, but being on a cruise ship means they are without the morgue, the lab, the computers... so many of the resources they are used to turning to for help analyzing information, which really highlights what they use the tech for, and how it helps vs. the great many things they do, and have the skills and knowledge to complete without the aid of fancy gadgets. I was gifted a copy of Cruises and Bruises and chose to share my thoughts.

A holiday birthday cruise turns into a murder mystery weekend for real when Amy, Ambrose, Stacey and Gabriel are off to celebrate Amy’s 30th. The foursome have to make do with what resources are available and try to solve their case when they’re in the middle of the ocean. Amy personifies the saying if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. I don’t know anyone who’d be happy to give up a vacation to solve a murder police person or not. It’s charming and a bit funny to see the group in resort wear yet trying to be official and conduct an investigation. An interesting take on the murder at the manor trope. A fun addition to the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Amy and Ambrose are off on a cruise in this story and of course as always they seem to find trouble wherever they go even on holiday. And off they are to help solve the murder in their usual way. They story was fun and entertained me to the end. Always love these two interactions and enjoyed watching them try to figure it all out. And this time they have a deadline which complicated things a bit. Enjoyed as always as I tried to figure it out before they did..
