This is Stacey and Gabriel’s story and what a fun roller coaster ride it is! A years long attraction is finally coming to a head and explode it does! The two are worried about what everyone else will think without thinking of themselves. Murder and a friends wedding draws them closer and soon it’s too late to stop this train! Love this dude story! This happy lil family is starting to find its place in the sun… Enjoy! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I haven’t read the Amethyst Wand Shop Mysteries series yet, but if there are half as good as Grave Mistake, I definitely will. Stacey and Gabriel are an amazing team at work, but what about their personal life? Come along as we find out. Laura and Arizona have written a great book about necromancers, murder, and relationships. There’s been a murder, and it’s one off of Stacy‘s bucket list. Her and Gabriel work hard to figure out the mystery of how the murder happened and why. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dr. Stacy was a pathologist and a necromancer and had a crush on the head of forensics plus they have known each other since kids. Gabriel was a friend of her brother and they had to work together to get a killer and Gabriel had a thing for Stacy. They had to admit it to the other. Good book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sometimes it takes someone’s acknowledging an observation or in this case a murder mystery to awaken a dormant attraction between best friends who are also work colleagues. This awareness happens to forensic necromancer Dr Gabriel Rook and pathologist necromancer Dr Stacey Barnes. A CSI team feel when added to Detective Knight Ambrose and his consultant girlfriend Amythest “Amy” of the Gemstone Coven. Their story is a long awaited slow burn that gets that FINALLY moment. Love the sweetness and realism of their relationship awkwardness. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
  • "Read about murder, dream about solving them."

Stacey and Gabriel have been part of the ensemble of characters that support Amethyst and Ambrose as they solve cases at the Paranormal Police Department, but here they move center stage and we experience the solving of the crime from their perspective. Stacey is the Medical Examiner, so like Detective Ambrose she goes out to the scene and gets an up close and personal view of the police's first encounter with the deceased... and starts hunting for clues that will solve the whodunit. Gabriel is in forensics, he gathers evidence from the crime scene and, as he puts it, when it comes to him and the detectives, "we both collect evidence. Mine just doesn't try to lie to my face." This is a fun story about a delightful friendship, and two people not wanting to risk losing that friendship -- though each of them hoping if they take a chance, they could have something even more amazing. I was gifted with a copy of Grave Mistake and chose to share my thoughts.

Finally after so many books in the series we get to see these two favorites of mine get together. But of course it is not easy and they must figure out their feelings in between helping solve a murder. It was cute, funny and made me laugh. So worth the wait as I got to see it happen from both their points of view. Although I did want to shake my head a few times at these two.
  • Necromancers solving a possible murder? Why not?

Let’s face it, any book featuring necromancer is going to contain themes that are a little inappropriate. But that doesn’t keep them from being funny. Stacey and Gabriel are both necromancers, and have to solve a “two bodies, one coffin” mystery. Who did it? In the meantime, they also have to decide if they are going to take their friendship into something more. It’s funny and sweet at the same time.
