Older adults are the fastest growing demographic in the world, and anxiety disorders are the most common mental disorder in this age group. The purpose of this course is to provide clinicians with the knowledge and skills necessary in order to improve the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders in older adults. In addition, members of the public may use this course to enhance their personal knowledge of the subject matter presented.

2. Discuss the assessment and classification of anxiety disorders in older adults.
3. Analyze the epidemiology of anxiety disorders in elderly patients.
