LOEWE presents a second collection with the legendary boutique Paula’s Ibiza, continuing the women’s and men’s Ready-To-Wear and accessories collaboration that fuses bohemian coastal dressing with Paula’s playful
prints.
To capture the spirit of the collection, LOEWE collaborated with M/M Paris and Gray Sorrenti to produce a hardcover publication. Shot in New Orleans, USA, the street-cast images transport the free-wheeling beach spirit of Ibiza to America’s deep south.
The digital version of this publication includes a series of films shot on location by Gray’s childhood friend and videographer Jack Irv.
“I took a bag of film, my camera, Jack and my Mom. We landed in the late afternoon at the Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, Louisiana—we were the first to arrive. New Orleans humidity hits you like a ton of bricks as you step off
of the plane. Just like the weather, the vibe and the accents are heavy, moist, warm and welcoming. It makes me ask myself, “Why don’t I come here more often?” We jumped into the car and rolled down the windows, letting the warm breeze in. The radio tuned us into the sweet sounds of WWOZ. Slowly catching feelings, we proceeded down old Airline Highway, making our way to the French Quarter. We drove under the Claiborne underpass, up Poydras, and hooked a left onto Royal Street. It felt good to be back. Somehow New Orleans just makes me breathe a little deeper.” – Gray Sorrenti.
