Description

Once the murderer is caught and the case goes to trial, Amy and Ambrose's work is done...or is it?

When a run-in at the courthouse results in Amy getting involved in a supposedly closed case, she finds herself unravelling a chain of events that could send the wrong person to prison for murder.

But while it seems cut and dry at first, there are other things at play and Ambrose's past comes back to haunt him.

Can they figure out who the real murderer is?

Amy and Ambrose are back and so is trouble. But it is classic as these two try to figure it all out before things get bad. And this time it's a case that has already been solved... or has it. But they must figure out who the real bad guys is before its too late. Lots of twists, trouble, drama, and Amy doing her best. Still love these two and think its a blast to watch them do their thing.

Amy and Ambrose’s involvement in a case usually stops once it’s gone to trial. In this instance that’s where their involvement begins. After testifying on a separate matter the couple runs into Flora Amy’s ex from way back in HS. She is a lawyer and asks if the two of them will take a look at his case as she truly believes he’s innocent. Once they start Amy is caught up in bad memories from Ambrose’s past, interacting with her ex and a gut feeling that the guy might actually be innocent but doubting herself be of all that’s going on around her. Add in the continuing weirdness and presence of her parents and life is let’s say complicated at the moment. But whatever else is going on our duo is committed to the truth and so they soldier on to try and find out of what they know is fact or if something is missing. An interesting twist starting at the end and going back to the beginning of a case. I liked that we finally met Flora and saw how both she and Amy have matured. The meeting showed just how right Amy and Ambrose are for each other they’re like two halves of a whole. Definitely an enjoyable reading experience. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
