This book keeps you guessing, you think Jake is done and will lose the case. Lucien comes through in way you never thought would happen.

Reels you in from the outset. Great characters and a good read. A bit predictable but the story is a reminder of the South’s dark past.

Took way too long to set the characters and the situations, then put it all together in one finishing chapter.

This book is more timely now than when it was written.

I was hoping for some murder etc but this book was just plain good!! Kept my interest without all the blood, murder and twists & turns! It was a good legal read. I’ll definitely read the next book in the series!!!

I love this book! It is a great read. My daughter enjoyed listening to me tell her how much I loved it.

Some parts required intense reading, some parts easily absorbed. Loved how everything came together at the end.

If you’re a fan of A Time To Kill you’ll love this one!
