Description

All I Ever Wanted Francis Ray
Naomi Reese is a divorced mother with a small daughter named Kayla, a new life in Santa Fe, and, finally, some distance from her abusive ex-husband. All she wants now is a home of her own where she and Kayla can finally feel safe. With one bad marriage behind her, she can't even dream of falling in love again. Until she meets Richard...

A tall, handsome veterinarian with a warm smile and big heart, Richard Youngblood is the kind of man any woman could fall for. Not only does he have a wonderful way with animals, he's great with little Kayla and—Naomi has to admit—he's easy on the eyes. Richard definitely has his sights set on her, too. But first, Naomi has to free herself from her past—and learn how to love again—before she can have all she ever wanted with the man of her dreams...

This is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. It showed how one woman's struggle for her independence and her desire to overcome the fear of her ex-husband's abuse almost cost her a second chance at the happiness that she deserved. It is said that children and dogs can see the true nature of a person. That being said Naomi's daughter, Kayla, could see the love and sincerity of Dr. Richard, who wanted so desperately for Naomi to trust him and then love him as he loved her and Kayla. He was offering Naomi what she so desperately wanted but refused to see that it really was available to her. I also love how this family and their close friends took their strengths and use them to reach out to others to strengthen and support them. The one suggestion that I would make is to have a little more detailed description of the characters. I would've liked to have had ages and descriptions such as height, weight, haircolor, eye color, etc., for all of the characters. I know that Luke was tall with broad shoulders and Lance was at least 6'4". I'm assuming that the Navarone name was an indication of Native American heritage as well as Luke's long hair. And I know that both Lance and Richard were "yummy." I also wondered if Richard "Youngblood" was an indication of Native American heritage, since it all did take place in New Mexico. Lord knows I made up my own descriptions in my mind. And none of them were lacking. Absolutely loved the story. I am about to order and read Fallon's story. I would love to know Catherine and Sierra story as well. ~Sheila
