Description

Taskforce operators Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill race to stop a global pandemic in this fast-paced thriller in the New York Times bestselling series.

Invented by nature and genetically manipulated by man, a highly lethal virus has just fallen into the wrong hands. Angered by sanctions placed against its nuclear program, a rogue state is determined to release the virus. The only thing standing in its way is the extralegal counterterrorist unit known as the Taskforce.

But as they follow the trail of the virus across Southeast Asia to the United States, the Taskforce soon learns that the enemy they face may not be the enemy they should fear...

A scientist didn’t think that he’d be killed when he handed over a virus is the linchpin of the plot. Apparently, he has never seen a movie or TV show about what happens to people giving biohazards to crooks. Then there’s the obese guy that manages to climb numerous decks on the ship right on the heels of trained operators.

The action was non-stop! This is the best story in the Pike Logan series to date. Brad takes you inside the minds of the players on both sides of the story with uncanny accuracy and details drawn from events happening today. He doesn't make Pike out to be some type of superman who can do no wrong. Mistakes are made and consequences result, sometimes leading to collateral damage. I couldn't put this book down! I truly enjoyed the interaction between Pike and Jennifer, and hope the next novel arrives sooner than later. Thanks much Brad, have a good one Dude!
