Amazing read

Excellent! Classic and timeless- fabulously written!

I consider this one of Hardy’s best work. It is a tragedy, so beware. But it is well written, although I found him to be a bit loquacious in certain aspects especially when describing the landscape but it’s definitely worth the read.

What is to be said? It's a Thomas Hardy work, so apparently predictable at the start, but then never to be so, a troubling, course treatise, a wonderful read,

This book starts off slow, but persevere on because this book is worth reading.The ending is a bit tragic, but the story is well-thought and beautifully written.

One of my all-time favorite books! Tragic, but beautifully written.

In ninth grade I was forced to read this book, looking at how many pages it had and from what the teacher told the class I was not looking forward to it. However, I really enjoyed this story. I liked almost everything about the writing. The story line was sort of predictable but when teenage dramas rapidly increase it is constantly easier to predict outcomes to books and movies. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read with a story that is slightly depressing yet still enjoyable. Plus, you feel a tiny bit ahead of the pack because this is one of those books written that no one really talks about but is just as educated as The Great Gatsby.
