Michael Connelly does it again! This time with a new character different from Bosch but still very enjoyable in a lived in world. There are twists and turns and just when you think you’ve figured it out here comes another twist!

Wish Apple would print the whole book, like I payed for the entire book, stopped at middle of chapter 45. What’s up Apple?

Thoroughly engaging legal/crime thriller! Wonderful character development! Hard-to-guess twists and turns!

If In had to pick a book to read for the rest of my life it would be this one. The characters are flawed, realistic and they have a great sense of humor. Mickey is a lawyer you want to win every case that comes this way. Cannot wait for next book!

Nice twists and turns that you never see coming.

As good as the Harry Bosch books are, Connelly is often at his best when stepping away from the character. This book is no exception. He really hit this one out of the park. It's no wonder this book went on to inspire a new series.
