Goldilocks by Jay Crownover “You know, without Goldilocks, the bears lived a pretty boring life alone in the woods. They had each other, but they needed her to shake things up so they had a story to tell.” Ok wow just when you think an author can’t too themselves Jay shows she can. Oh my I mean wow Ollie and Huck are just wow. When you first meet Huck and Ollie you are not sure who you are going to dislike but they both win you over and fast. It doesn’t help that when Huck shows up he is rude and cruel with a bit of I don’t care attitude. Yet soon you see he has this tough guy exterior with a teddy bear interior. We soon see why he was how he was with Ollie and kinda want to dislike her but can’t. Ollie is this skittish frightened girl who is trying to get close to the one person who ever made her feel safe. Ollie is running away from her past and Huck wants no part of it. They soon find out that not every thing is black and white that there too much grey area in between. They both have to face their past in order to get a future. I loved their connection and the love between them both a live that existed before they each knew what love was.
