Great read, very relatable and helps you understand Carmelo as a person and not just a ball player!

I connected to his upbringing very much. I grew up in west Baltimore like Melo. He’s 4 years older than me but we share similar paths.It’s wild to know someone so successful grew up the same way I did. I feel like this was a love letter/ autobiography to Baltimore in my opinion. I appreciate the canid, raw, storytelling. I hope to read more literature from Melo.

Not only is he my favorite player but this book by far is my favorite book I read in a while. Very detailed . I felt like I was there with him from a small kid till draft night.

Best biography I’ve ever read-VIVID, JAW DROPPING DETAIL, and the other walks you along the journey of an athlete navigating the pitfalls of poverty in pursuit of a dream. We’ll put together.

Really enjoyed reading about his journey and also understanding life from a different perspective. When’s part 2 coming out? It left me wanting to hear about his pro career after being drafted.

Excellent book, flows smoothly and Carmelos story is incredible, he’s been through a lot and still thriving in his NBA career. Despite no NBA championship yet, he is undoubtedly a champion in life.
