While I have always admired Federer as a tennis player and classy gentlemen, I have gained tremendous perspective about the human being that he represents. This book really captures the raw elements that it took for Federer to become the great player and worldwide persona that he is today. It is extremely candid in nature and highlights the incredible struggles that Federer had to endure on his path to greatness. Despite his “never let them see you sweat attitude,” The Master goes under the hood and actually shows you how hard Federer worked to get to where he is. The many losses before all the wins, the temper tantrums as a teenager before the classy gentlemen we know him as today. The Master delivers it all and in both entertaining and objective form. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys tennis or simply wants to learn more about what it takes to be a great classy human being.
