Wow! Heard great things about this book but this blew my socks off. I’ll admit it starts somewhat slow but man does it finish in an amazing way. Highly highly recommend this book. Immediately diving into #2! Instant favorite for me.

This book got me hooked from the first chapter. I don’t really know what else to say, but this is a great book 5 out of 5 stars at least. And now I just have to wait for the third book.

I really enjoyed the setting of this world and it was a nice, fresh change of pace from typical fantasy settings. I appreciate the author providing a glossary as many of the Viking terms will have you googling them. I did struggle a bit with keeping some of the characters straight but it did end on an excellent cliffhanger

Great action, strong set of characters, unique and developed world, only downside is dialogue can sometimes seem unemotional and it robotic

While reading this book I was allowed a reprieve from my own world and allowed entry into another. Such a craft to be able to share such writings. Thank you John Gwynne.
