  • Refreshing build of a love story

So refreshing to read a romance that builds a true love story that can trigger emotions the characters are feeling. So many romance novels unfortunately rely on explicit and very descriptive sexual scenes which actually are major turnoff and I’ll stop reading. This book presented a wonderful love story with just some mild sexual content.

Well it took 2/3 of the book for Josie to dig her head out of.....the sand. She is a clueless woman and couldn’t see the writing on the wall in front of her. Chance on the other hand had way too much patience and should have kicked his brother’s butt many years ago. The author did a wonderful writing job though and kept me reading even while I was frustrated. All in all, a lot of emotions were in this book, and I enjoyed reading it.

The love story of Chance and Josie takes many turns with a huge dose of stubbornness thrown in. Chance takes a desperate move hoping it will bring happiness. Enjoy the twists and turns and the frustration that makes you want to shake them.

True Blue Cowboy is book number one in the Blood Brothers series by Debra Holt. This is Chance Braxton and Josie Monroe’s story. Josie and Chance were likable characters and I enjoyed their story. Once Josie quit being so hardheaded and Chance got off the fence, they found their happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is a sweet romance about a young women seeing the boy next door through new eyes. It was a thoroughly enjoyable book. Debra Holt created a plot that is interesting enough to keep people engaged without making it so complex it’s hard to follow. Definitely a must read. This book was given to me as an ARC by Tule Publishing.
