I was extremely grateful to have access to this text during medical school! I am a fourth year medical student and am planning on going into pediatrics! This text was an excellent resource to use and refer back to during many of my rotations, and I plan on using it during my residency and in future practice! The explanations are very clear and easy to understand, and the pictures and videos are great in quality! Over all, this text is phenomenal for anyone trying to grasp an understanding of the various pathologies you might come across during an otoscopic examination!

I am a Senior Medical Student who recently matched into a top program for Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. This book allowed me to honor the pediatrics section of multiple OHNS sub-internship rotations. My evaluation of the middle was on par with that of the pediatric residents! This book not only helps one to identify what to look for on otoscopic exam, but also the differential for what you may see in a day-to-day ENT practice. This book is suitable for PAs, NPs, medical students, residents, and primary care physicians taking care of kids.

I am an otolaryngologist (ENT doc) and it is hard to know where to start: I am stunned by a number of things about this book. First, why has no else done something like this, on this topic, given the magnitude of the need? It is beyond helpful. It should be mandatory for everyone taking care of OM. Obviously, the images and videos are of amazing clarity and and on a unique range. The organization is logical and flows easily. The multimedia components make this hard to put down. Here, in a single book, there are over a half-dozen demonstrations of relatively common findings that no one else has indentified and characterized! Don’t know of such a thing previously. I am stunned (and a bit embarassed) that I could learn so much. If it was helpful to me, it has to be a “game-changer” for primary care docs. With this book, a decent otoscope, and a decent view of the tympanic membrane, they can practice with nearly the same knowledge base as ENTs… and a new vocabulary for their observations. The authors apparently have released it for free while it in in Beta (mainly punctuation and typo errors). What a value. Many of us would spend thousands of dollars to learn this at a conference.

This book is a MUST read for any person who looks at an ear!! The visuals are at a level never before published! The clear explanations and careful observations of the ear have not been seen since the days of the great Sylvan Stool. This IS what Apple technology was designed to do, and Dr Poole is the true pioneer in Apple Book learning.
