Off The Ice by L.P. Dover is the fourth book in her Breakaway series. A surprisingly emotional series of wonderful and unique men and women intertwined in the fictional Charlotte Strikers NHL team. This is the story of Justin Davis and of a new to us character, Meghan Taylor. After a grueling 12 months pretending to be with his on-screen Fiancée, Justin is done. He needs to take a break. Hockey season is over, the Stanley Cup is won, and he is heading to his newly purchased ranch in Wyoming. What he least expects on his incognito getaway is a beautiful next-door neighbor that is taking his fame in stride. Meghan is back home for the summer. Her daughter still with her parents in Nags Head. The reason for the separation, much needed work to do on the ranch. What Meghan doesn't expect is a super hot and super famous next door neighbor that is doing everything he can to help her and spend time with her with no expectations in return. The backstories are touching, the transformations of the characters are heartwarming, and the glimpse of some of the past series characters is precious. I really enjoyed this book in the series. Enjoy!

Coming off a year obligation with his fake fiancee, Justin wins the Stanley Cup and then ends his engagement on live TV. Needing to get away from the craziness that was Rich and Single, Justin decides to hide away at his new ranch in Wyoming. When he meets Meghan at the airport he's taken with her beauty, her personality, and the fact that she seems to not know who he is. Meghan has been a widow and single mom for the past eight years. When she literally runs into Justin at the airport, she suppresses her inner fangirl and offers him a ride home. What follows is the development of a fantastic friendship that grows with every passing day. I loved the relationship between Justin and Meghan. Even though you would think that there wouldn't be much in common between a teacher and a hockey and reality star, these two fit together perfectly. I am sad to see this series come to an end. I wanted to see so many of the characters see their own stories but I am looking forward to whatever comes next from this author! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

Justin has a lot of baggage. He has made some bad choices. Meghan is a single mother with her own baggage. They make for a fun easy going couple. But there not sure where hey fit into each other’s lives. Loved this series. This was my favorite book out of the series. Could not wait to see where the story would go.

Justin and Meghan Off the ice a second chance romance. Justin a player on and off the ice with a fake fiancé that he can stand and Meghan the single mother who is a widow. Justin wants to lose his baggage so he leaves for a few months, the first person he meets doesn’t know who he really is. Meghan doesn’t act all star stuck when she collides with Justin. What would you do if someone didn’t use you for your title or celebrity status. Throw in a child that wants to be just like Justin and he’s a goner. Between the passion they have for each other and the fight they are willing to put into making it work made them my favorite couple. Justin and Meghan’s book is my favorite book in the breakaway series. Lp does it again with this 5star read. One click now.
