I was very much looking forward to reading this book. However, it is intellectually lacking. It is nothing but an advanced 4th grader American history book. If you know anything about this time period, reading this book will bore you to tears.

His Handle says it all... Dr.McNasty. Yes, yes of course I'd listen to a review by someone with that username. Just because it's written by Bill O'Reily, doesn't mean it's automatically false. Liberals love telling us free-thinkers that we are wrong to listen to truth. Liberals much rather listen to a false narrative as long as it jives with the propaganda the mainstream media feeds them. Heaven forbid they think for themselves... This is a great book, and informed me of how ignorant I was of my own country's history. EVERYONE should read this, or watch the TV series at the very least, so that they may learn the TRUTH of our American history. And just so you know, this book has ZERO info concerning today's politics. Just because it's written by O'Reilly makes people think otherwise.... My suggestion: Read it for yourself and make your OWN informed opinion, rather than listening to obviously Partisan and biased Reviews.

While the subject of this book is interesting enough to merit a read, the author approaches his characters and their backgrounds with the research level of being the 5th person in the "telephone game" and has the charm and linguistic elegance of a dead skunk. There are so many great REAL writers featured on iBooks, but unfortunately this man's notoriety has equaled sales from his followers. A family member gave me this book as a gift, and I must say it is as bad as I thought it would be.
