Great character development. Even though I did not think it was possible, author brought all the divergent plots together at the end. Well at least well enough you are not left wanting for closure…

Got this for free through a promotion and loved all three books. The characterization is wonderful and in a world filled with post-apocalyptic thrillers this stands out as being fresher than most in a familiar setting. I will definitely be purchasing the fourth book.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this series, but I'm up to the sixth book, and I've enjoyed every single one. What really drives the series are the characters and the differing perspectives for the two main protagonists in each book. It was a joy to continue on through the series and come back to the characters and see how they and the world around them changed. Definitely worth picking up.

This is the first set of books where I kept hoping that the main characters would be killed off. None of them had any redeeming qualities, coupled with only running into people who were as bad or worse than them. Add aliens with technology and no character development, whose only purpose seem to be to kill all the good people.The premise was interesting and the writing good, just kept waiting for some "good guys" to be introduced and that never happened.

The author is very descriptive and does a great job of making feel as if you are a part of the book however the books in the series do not flow together and even from chapter to chapter the characters do not have much connection until the last chapter of each book. And instead of the next book starting where the previous left off it starts with a whole new set of characters. All in all it was just very confusing and went into almost no information about the aliens or the boy that went with the aliens. I feel there was almost no conclusion to this story. I did enjoy the descriptiveness of the author.
