I almost never read a book twice, but I just finished my second trip through this one. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. It’s so creative and it all fits together so perfectly. Really a pleasure to read. What a mind Andy Weir has! When does the movie come out???

For a book that has to do with space and science (not familiar with either) this book was so interesting. Loved the relationship between Grace and Rocky. ❤️

I really liked the book. It was filled with detailed scientific information and the occasional comedic moment, and not to mention it’s in space. So yeah, my kind of story.
  • Great book.

I enjoyed the first person narrative like in The Martian. Unlike other reviewers, I enjoyed and was enlightened by the physics, biology and technical explanations that broadened my understanding of gravity and pendulums to cite a few. Never too old, or young, to learn stuff.

Quick and captivating- and let’s add creative and clever too. Just a tiny bit over the top on the depth of the science, but probably because I was so captivated by it that I chose to think each situation through rather than just accept the premise. Very enjoyable.

I picked this up after reading The Martian, which of course I read because of the Matt Damon movie. Like all books, it had so much more detailed information than the movie, so I tried Hail Mary. It is exciting and fun and informative - I was absolutely amazed. Tiny example, it explained why microwave oven doors have the little black dots (might be common knowledge, but I didn’t know). I couldn’t put it down, and I highly recommend it!

It’s a long one but I’m not a big reader.

Andy Weir is absolutely brilliant. Reading his books changed my life and brought me so much joy. I’m so sad this one is over 😂

This reads similar to ‘The Martian’ in ways, but the character you follow has so much likable personality that it keeps you mirroring his emotions as you read. Scenes are descriptive and powerful. I flew through the end of the book because I could not put it down. Amazing medium sized read when you need a break from all the series!
