This trilogy was such a wonderful adventure, that I went back and reread the first two books. I think the third book suffers from “wrapping it up neatly” syndrome, just a bit. It may be just my issue, but the detective story aspects of the first book opened up so many wonderful “what the heck is going on” questions, that I so looked forward to my next chance to read. One technical issue (speaking as a meteorologist). In Books 2 and 3 Mr. Hamilton refers to the thunderstorms associated with the massive climatic shift caused by the Olyix as “cirrocumulus”. Cirrocumulus clouds are innocuous. He meant “cumulonimbus."
  • Phenomenal story telling

Few writers have the depth of imagination and complexity as Peter Hamilton. I hope he continues the series!

Another great book. Hamilton’s sci-fi is the best.

I read this way too fast but as with this authors other space operas, it can be visited again and again without losing any of the wonder. Looking forward to the next quest prompted by Horatio! By Saints!! This book is riveting!
  • Satisfying conclusion.

The final book is I think the best of the series. A great space and time spanning story with the expected inventive “Hamilton” technology and science.
