Honestly it was the best thing I’ve ever read. Was sad when it ended. The story the characters all were very touching and relatable.

Very interesting story line. Enchanting characters. Loved the environmental descriptions as well. Best of all, the end was a true finish to a book, leaving one satisfied that all is right with the world. Well written enough that I most certainly want to continue with the rest of the books.

This is about a unique magical world populated with relatable characters. Although a bit predictable, the world building pulled me in and the tension kept building at a perfect pace. A great start to the series.

This has been such a joy to read! The story is captivating, and deals with the whole gambit of human emotions so well. The sorrow and the joy are felt as you read. I love that the hero is a young black girl, who grew up as an outsider. Must read!
