This is a finely crafted story and I enjoyed reading it immensely. The author is a very talented storyteller and I look forward to spending time immersed in her other imaginative tales.

This couple is perfect for each other, but refuses to see it. Being a member of the Free Society, Griff will not tell Alyssa he loves her. He’d rather set her free. Love the passion between them! Most importantly Alyssa’s strength and determination are the foundation of this book.

Romance, innocence, friendships, tragedies of war, & a deep love are all included in this great historical romance novel. Truly enjoyable.

Enjoyed the historic war and battles woven into the story. Characters drew me into the story. Lengthy, but not needlessly so.

Enjoyed the new twist regarding the league. It seems boys of that time didn’t have meaningful examples of adult manhood. Lots of surprises when we go back in time. Thanks.

I was surprised this was a good read. I have to admit that my standards were low because the cover looks a bit cheesy, but it was a well written, and emotional book. The only thing I didn’t like was the secret league that Griffin belonged to and the pact he mad as a child. I think it was childish, specially when he returned, to keep to that code.

I throughly enjoyed the first book in this series. The storyline and the characters were well developed. I am looking forward to reading the next book.
