To Tempt a SEAL

4.5 Stars The story is an extremely sexy, sweet romance between a Navy SEAL on leave in Las Vegas and a woman with scars on the inside and the outside, who only wanted to have a steamy night of anonymous pleasure. Cade is exactly what Lucia needed. You can't rush love but Cade and Lucia have proven that you can't slow it down either. This is a well written romance and I can't wait to read more from this very talented author. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The first in the new Sin City SEALs series kicks off with a bang in a whirlwind Vegas weekend. Lucia just wants to ‘get away’ and become someone else for a weekend: she’s never really settled her past issues of abuse, and she’s allowed that to constrain her. But, a naughty to-do list with the promise of a masquerade ball in Las Vegas just may be the diversion and kick-start she needs to move forward. Her sister, Natalie, isn’t entirely on board with her sister’s plans, so she makes arrangements. Cade is a SEAL, and best friends of Natalie. He agrees to help his friend out by watching over her sister Lucia during her weekend in Vegas: make sure that Lucia doesn’t get in trouble. Cade’s certain this is an easy assignment: he doesn’t want complications and isn’t right for a relationship: his father’s military career tore his family apart – so he won’t have one of those. Approaching Lucia as part of his deal with her sister, Cade realizes that there is far more to this woman, and she intrigues him like no one has in forever. While he shouldn’t get involved, it doesn’t seem as if he has another choice: she is beautiful and deserves to be shown it in every way possible. While Lucia can’t believe the comfort and confidence she feels at Cade’s side. As they open up to one another, readers are drawn to these characters: so similar yet different, and you want to see them make those steps to a relationship. While I did find the development of the relationship a bit on the ‘insta-love’ side of things, these characters were compelling and solidly voiced: their issues were not minor, yet not so extensive that the relationship seemed impossible because of them. Their chemistry was palpable, and several moments fogged up my eReader! Most importantly, although they both claimed to ‘not want more’ their super-secret wish was to have a shot at a happy and fulfilling life, and sometimes, wishes do come true I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I’ve always enjoyed military romance and Sara is starting a brand new series with this one. Lucia wants to take a chance in Vegas and have a random hook up. She’s worked really hard to feel better about herself and decided a wild night fulfilling her fantasies was the best way to help make that happen. She had no idea her sister asked Cade to keep an eye out for her and not let her do anything crazy. Cade takes one look at Lucia and prayed she was the one he was supposed to watch out for. He decided he was going to keep her closer than Natalie asked, but couldn’t take the chance to pass up a night with Lucia. Of course eventually Lucia finds out the truth and heads back home. Overall I really enjoyed this book. There were some things that I felt could have been explored a little further. Lucia’s weight loss and scars seemed to have a huge impact on her life but after the first few chapters they really weren’t brought up again in detail. I feel like she might have been a little more cognizant of those two things in particular throughout the book. The attraction between these two can’t be denied though. I really enjoyed that Cade made her feel so attractive and happy. The fantasy lists were sexy and lots of fun. I laughed and smiled a lot while reading this book. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this series. I’m guessing we are going to get the sisters story next and I’m excited to see where it goes.

Right away she meets up with Cade Daniels. He was sent by her sister so she would not hook up with a stranger. Cade is a US Navy SEAL who is best friends with her sister. She sends him to watch over her sister and make sure she is safe. When he sees her standing there in this amazing red dress, he wants her. The chemistry between them has sparks flying everywhere! Lucia wants only this weekend and to go home feeling beautiful and cherished. Cade makes her feel all that and more. He seems to genuinely like her to boot. After spending time with him, can she go home and not ask for more? Cade is falling fast for this amazing woman. She is brave and strong and very good looking. She does not think so and is makes Cade want to track down everyone that has told her so. His best friend told him not to touch her, but how can he stay away when he is feeling the pull of desire? The banter is so adorable. I love how honest these characters are with one another. Such an incredible story from the very beginning and I could NOT put it down!
