After realizing there was no Apple manual for the new version of Garageband X, I went searching for an after market source. I was led to this authors work and read the reviews. The book does not disappoint. It is top notch. Also a lot of solid background on how OSX handles files, MIDI, audio.

I fooled around with the previous GarageBand app but now I wanted to get serious with this new GarageBand X. Like the other books I have from this author, thesis just amazing. It is so easy to learn all the elements. The interactivity part works great. I played with the Flash Card feature based on the hundreds of glossary terms and it is really fun. This is not your dad’s manual. This is the new way to go. I’m a GarageBand expert now, thanks to this book.

I have other books from this author and and love his graphical style. This book is no exception. The depth of it and attention to detail is not found in any other book. I really love the interactivity. When reading through it, virtual all the terms are hot links that popup with the explanation when you tap on it. This is how all books should be written. 10 out of 10 (if possible)
