First, a HUGE thank you to the a-hole who posted a review with spoilers in it...jerk. Second, Morgan...for the love of God, get an editor. I mean...my niece is 8 and can write more gripping and grammatically correct stories.

I am there in the sene Andronicus betrays Gwendolyn and McCloud rapes her. I feel the horror I feel the betrayal and then it all comes to me. I now know who Andronicus is. A man with no mercy no kindness and most of all no honor, Morgan Rice.

This is AWESOME!! My mother offered me the choice of a $30 pedicure or this book and she keeps the change. I choose to buy the books. I don't know what books you guys have been reading but I didn't see a single typo. Maybe when you're actually IN the book and ENJOYING it, you don't notice the little things that DON'T MATTER. Or maybe thats just me. It's not like I spent my science class circling every typo the teacher made or anything (even though that's exactly what I did. I am a stickler for that sort of thing). Take it from me mates. This series is great and needs to be an epic movie series. I'd be willing to provide character reference and ideas if it was because I want this to happen. This is so great it deserves to be a movie and it should be at the top of the best sellers list. I don't know why it isn't. Yes, some of the battle scenes could be shortened and 15 books are a bit excessive but those are trivial details when it comes to the big picture. Love it. -A
  • Needs lots of editing

Plenty of typos and editing needed, especially in 4-6. Lion's lair, not layer, etc. number of people killed in battle scene that started with 30 is way off. Distracting. Romance is repetitious. All the cool guys fall in love with healers? Really? On the positive side, fun plot overall. The first 3 books are much better written.
  • Really bad typos and grammar problems

I like reading a fantasy book sometimes that is at a kids level. But, the number of repetitive sentences, and sentiments in just a few pages was overkill and just poor writing. The typos make me think no one proofed this at all. I just wonder why so poor a job was done.
  • Good Read

This is a pretty good series to pass the time. There are some areas that need work but I think the author did a pretty good job of mixing her own ideas with the basic farm boy discovered he is more than just a farm boy. I wish she condensed the book because they are pretty short. Overall, I would recommend reading this story.

This is an amazing series, but the typos, poor grammar, and random words is distracting.

One star for potential. 0 stars for execution. I pushed through most of this series hoping the writing would improve, but it is getting worse. The author surrender's the potential to have created something special and instead deliver's undigestible pablum. There is not even a glimmer of a logic or the physical realities of any world. In this world apparently one can ride across the entire country in a few hours with no need to eat or rest. An army of millions can move at immense speeds with no logistic support and the characters live in a worlds where Deus Ex Machina is the order of the day. Every enemy is stabbed in the heart. A single warrior can fight thousands. Monsters are 50 feet tall and have multiple mouths! Why? The writing often descends into juvenile "Thor ran and ran..." Apparently this hero is still a young teenager but has no trouble killing three or four experienced soldiers with one swing if a sword...really? Flails knock three heads off at a time. The author is clearly more interested in capitalizing on this run of popularity than producing a quality product.
  • Potential unrealized

This series, although somewhat entertaining, reeks of laziness on the part of both the author and the publisher. It had the potential to be an epic series, as the ideas and possibilities generated by the author could have been developed into something reminiscent of Tolkien, Eddings, or Jordan. Instead, we have paragraph-length descriptions that should have instead spanned numerous pages, a list of typos that staggers, and a story that reads as if it were merely the the prattling of a child eager to be done and off to play. I enjoyed the tale, but weep for what it could have been.
  • Great book, awful editing

I love this series and am about to buy the next one #7. REALLLY wish someone had taken the time to do a complete edit, many words and paragraphs repeated, words in the wrong order, like: "do will", and words missing. I just inserted the correct words or order in my head so I could keep going. My friends say they would have stopped reading after soooooo many errors. Still I like the series & can get pass the errors. Would rate higher if editor had done their job.
