Zombie's are people too.
At least in this future. And there are ways to deal with the assimilation of humans in a zombie dominated world, hopefully assimilation without consumption.
People can be innovative and there are times when survival depends on it. But getting anyone to accept change always involves diplomacy. You need them to buy in.
And eat up.
