  • 5 Stars for Frostbitten

I’m giving a full five stars for Frostbitten, book 6 in the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti! You know when you pick up a contemporary romantic suspense novel by Ms. Zanetti that you’re going to get a well developed plot, twists and turns you don’t see coming, and likable, sometimes damaged, characters with major chemistry. This book starts with a run in between Agent Millie Frost and attorney Scott Terentson where their cases overlap, that gets her into trouble. Millie heads home and becomes suspect in a murder case in her home town and Scott comes to represent her. From there, the hot, hot chemistry takes off between them while they’re trying to keep Millie safe and figure out who actually murdered her ex. No spoilers, but needless to say, it’s a fast paced plot and the killer was a twist I didn’t see coming. And have no fear, the rest of the Deep Ops crew make an appearance to help Millie and Scott solve the mystery. This book can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is excellent, so why not read them all?

Fun book! The investigation was intriguing and I was with them all the way trying to figure out who did it. I didn't even come close. Millie was such a cool heroine. I loved her brilliant mind, her kind nature and the backbone to do what she does. Scott? Holy moly! Let's just say that man has a mouth on him and it was attractive. I wasn't expecting it since it mostly only made an appearance during sexy times. The way he took charge was hot! Wolfe is always a treat when he makes an appearance. So is Roscoe. Two of my favorite characters in this series.

Millie gets herself in big trouble. Scott comes to aid Millie. These two have great chemistry and banter. They do not know what to do with each other. The journey of these two figuring each other out is full of twists and turns and lots of suspense. Great to see lots of familiar faces. I really enjoyed this addition to the series.
