Loved the story! I just wish there had been so much more of it! It felt rushed, and I had so many questions to the lack of detail along the way. Still… the story line was wonderful and the ending.. amazing!!

Instantly captivating story, I read it so fast and it didn’t feel cheesy or rushed. Perfectly told. Can’t wait for more to come from Scarlett

Funny, very spicy, and well-architected in the way so many fairytales are folded in. After reading the HadesxPersephone series, I wondered how I could be satisfied with a short, potentially stand-alone story. Happily surprised that my lack of satisfaction comes from the fact that there aren’t more books yet, instead of disappointment that the story needed more. Love the little illustrations as well in the Apple Books edition. They kept the story centered since the fast-acting magical elements left my imagination in a state of whiplash a few times.

You can see were she picks and choose from various fairytales, and weaves a really sweet and of course spicy story. So glad we will be getting more of these!
  • Very Rushed, Characters Difficult to Connect With

I was hoping for more whimsy, but as it turns out this is nothing more than a shallow corset-ripper. The characters are instantly horny. The world building is neglected in the missed details. This chick eats like four pieces of fruit the entire week she’s there and that distracted me a lot. I mean what do fae eat? That would be interesting. Details like that are neglected and could have been shown easily. The main characters switch up VERY quickly and just start going at it. Too often. Like three times in.a row, you don’t need to keep explaining this to me, I was more interested in the picnic and now they’re just doing it again and the picnic is ignored, often. Ending is super rushed given the gratuitous spicy scenes. She stumbles on the answer quite easily. Escapes her captor after that just as easily. I think a sex scene or two could have been dropped to flesh the ending out more and raise the stakes a bit. The end scene in the village was uncalled for and full of questions for me. The Elf Prince is so keen on concealing her nudity before, but suddenly has her ride up naked on horseback for shock value to the village? They keep saying names have power here, so why does the main character give away the Prince’s true name so loudly here? The glass magic was cool, but why was it literally never used prior to this? Why wouldn’t it be the thorn thing? Just took me out of it. Seems like it could have been cut from the book. Had potential. But yeah, corset-ripper. I am all for spicy books but I was expecting SOME substance given the interesting concept.

A modern day take on a fairytale that has the story expanded on to be a novel. A really cute story line. Excellent spice. Overall a fantastic short read. I loved it and will definitely read the rest when they come out!

I loved how creative Scarlett was in this book! It was beautiful and I wish I could explore the Enchanted Forest! I read this in 24 hours because I was so obsessed! So many fun nods to different stories we have all heard. LOVE IT!

I loved the concept but I felt like the story moved so fast. I just wish it was longer so it could include more details and more moments from those seven days.
