This book has a sex scene that includes a third party, male. It should be made known that this is not just m/f to readers. And the author should have also given a warning or advised a possible trigger warning for some as the sex scene with the three is not necessarily consensual either, more like forced. Please inform readers content.

Once again Amelia Wilde does it again! This is the 2nd book of Gabriel and Elise’s story. Gabriel is the brother of Mason Hill. There are 3 brothers who plot revenge upon a group of Uber elites who murdered their parents years ago who left the children destitute. This cult or consortium makes sick demands and expects loyalty. There is a sexual initiation, but it is not as bad as I read in the reviews. In fact chapters lead up to the initiation with Gabriel and Jacob discussing what would be expected. After Gabriel finally breaks through and admits to Elise his past, he expresses his feelings and his dream for the future. However, evil is lurking and trying to tear them apart. Will they be able to save each other?

What an emotional and angsty read, page by page I was more consumed with Gabriel and Elise's story! This is the second book in this trilogy and Gabriel is having a battle within himself. He never though he was deserving of love and he had all his plans to bring the Conservatorium in flames but now that Elise is in the picture everything becomes much harder for him. She is the light in his dark mind. Elise is been hurt by Gabriel and what she though was special between them, not longer seems that way. The pressure from her father and the guilt she carries for what happened to Gabriel's parents are suffocating her. With all their imperfections I think Elise and Gabriel are perfect for each other, but in this book there are obstacles that they need to face and the ending left me speechless I honestly don't have a clue to what's going to happen and I'm desperate to find out.

This is the continuation of Gabriel and Elise story. It was captivating and emotionally intense. Gabriel is a broken man and Elise is a perfect match for him . She is empathetic and exactly what he needs. Elise understood Gabriel and didn’t judge him for what he was doing or why he was using her for revenge. The story get more intriguing as it progresses. It was evident that the feelings were strong between these two and Gabriel though denying his feelings but he cared for Elise and didn’t want to hurt her. Gabriel inner monologue gave an insight of how he felt about him self and felt he was undeserving of love and happiness. There was a scene in the book which made me uncomfortable and it did put a damper on the romance between these two. I wish it hadn’t happened. I loved Elise and how she wanted nothing to with her family. She was there for her sisters and Gabriel. The story ends on a jaw dropping cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next book and Gabriel and Elise story would unfold.

Oh my goodness, this was packed full of action and emotions and just constant motion! There are so many hits at my heart in this, and so many times I was not getting ready for work to find out what Gabriel would do next, what Elise would deal with, and oh my gosh, finding out more of his past. My heart was beating wildly throughout and that ending just about stopped it!! I’m desperate for the next book!!

Would not have purchased book #1 if I knew there was a m/f/m scene in book #2. Sex scene involves heroine and hero and hero’s ex lover who is male. BE warned it is forced sex scene. This is not a consensual scene in my opinion. PLEASE advise your readers of trigger warnings.
