  • Background Study Bible

I don’t understand why others had problems navigating this Bible. It works like all the other study Bibles in the Apple Book Store. I found it to be an excellent addition to my other study materials. Great to have on an iPad to take anywhere. You could spend weeks just going through the notes and reference materials.

I notice that Apple Books raised the price. Must be because their stock is losing.
  • Hard to navigate, but great content

I bought this e-book because I love the hardcover version. The notes and articles greatly help understand and place in context the biblical text. The hardcover is a hefty tome, so I got the e-book to take with me on my iPad when I travel. All the content of the HC is there, but skipping to notes and back takes some learning. Searching for a specific chapter doesn’t seem possible; scrolling to a particular book is the best you can do, and then flip pages from there. The e-book lacks the beautiful page design of the HC, but I suppose that’s unavoidable for this format. Still, well worth it for $7.99 to be able to carry the NIV Archaeological Study Bible with me everywhere.

Touching a book name in contents takes you back to main page. There’s some great content in this Bible, but it’s very hard to find it.

I can't find this book in hardback ANYWHERE! Told at two bookstores that it's not even being sold anywhere anymore! Trying to maneuver through this book is a super headache! Great content! Unbelievably Frustrating trying to use it. Makes it utterly useless....

Would be great if you could read it it has an error on every page so you don't see nothing but errors

I have owned the hard copy for a few years, and just recently got it in eBook form. I have to come to the defense of this book 1st of all it's a study Bible. Not one that you should be taking to church and follow along with the pastor. It contains considerable in-depth information as well as dramatic pictures letting you know more about what you are reading. I use this along with my NIV study Bible to gather more insight. Although I would love to see an update that would allow you to search for versus. I would still recommend this book to anyone on gaining much more knowledge and history about the Bible.
  • Impossible to Navigate

The content is wonderful, but with the inability to navigate to different books or versus within the Bible it makes it impossible for practical use.
  • Verse address needed

I would love this Bible if I could have the chapter a verse address on every page. Book marking is useless with only page numbers for reference. I think splitting the archeological info in its own column would make "in service" study a little easier to keep up with.
  • Difficult to use

I love the content, but completely agree with the other person, there is NO way to find a verse during a sermon. But the time I page to Romans, the service is over. PLEASE fix this! I love the content and would love to be able to use the Bible I paid for!
