This book is very descriptive and detail oriented. That in itself isn't awful, but I found the descriptions to be long winded and distracting. There are only so many times I'm willing to read about grey horses and their crests of manes. The book is loaded with this kind of imagery and it was increasingly difficult to keep up with a sense of time or location as a result.
  • Beautifully heartbreaking

I finished this in two days, and I'm a slow reader. The descriptions were enthralling and Young mentioned things about the disaster I'd never heard before. Very eloquent and tragic read; I highly recommend it.

This book portraits a story unlike the Hollywood version of Titanic. The author takes the readers into an in depth level of understand and imagination of what was really the legendary Titanic looks like. Good reading.
