Many of us are familiar with the story of Frankenstein, but only through the various movies that have been made over the years, which is a great shame, since the book puts things in a very different perspective..
I would heartily recommend this book..

Without spoiling, think of this: imagine you are relaxing and being yourself, and all of a sudden, your nephew kills you.

After three readings, my opinion remains unchanged. Stylistically consistent with gothic literature of the period: tedious, verbose and overwrought. Notable only in that Dr. Frankenstein and society in general are the true monsters while “the monster” is the victim of poor parenting and prejudiced society - proving little has changed over the past 200 years.

So much more than the shallow films that take the name. Reading this will make you wish for so much more from Hollywood. Frankenstein and his monster have feelings and souls.
