If you enjoy high fantasy you will love this book. So much going on it’s hard to sort but carry on, it’s worth it.

Definitely YA. It could have been compacted and half of the dialogue cut out. Really great idea but dragged out and totally predictable. Not gonna waste more time on the rest of the series as it’s a lot to wade thru

Fantastic writing style, very clear and easy to understand!

Simply amazing.

I love the flip that Mr. Sanderson does with most of the plot happening within the city, makes for a refreshing take since in most stories, the characters are traveling a lot. In here, there’s like traveling for side jobs and stuff. The big set up. Kind of reminds me of Sly Cooper in a way.

Everyone raves about this series…maybe it was the hype that did me in. I read the whole series and thought it was mediocre overall. It just didn’t draw me in. I know I’m in the minority though. I can’t figure out why everyone is bonkers over these books. Maybe if Sanderson didn’t crank out a book every other weekend and spent more time on his world building….

I have read his other books called skyward and they are both amazing books.

This book was absolutely stunning. I couldn’t put it down, the plot was incredible. I highly recommend reading the next two. Most likely should read wax and Wayne though I’m only halfway through the second phase. Can’t wait for a phase 3 mistborn. Thanks Sanderson!
