I just got the new iPhone 4 and I have noticed that some of my applications are not working properly. But this one I had some problems with my old iPhone too. Sorry to say, this one needs some work.

I have recently upgraded to iPhone 4 from iPhone 3GS. I have often used the Survival Guide for the iPhone 3GS and so I downloaded the new Survival Guide for the iPhone 4. I have also downloaded the official manual. Both guides are good. The Survival Guide is shorter than the official guide. In my mind it is easier to follow and I also think it is better organized, so I can find topics faster.

It’s right in the name. This guide helps iPhone users to perform the same tasks they already were much faster. The iPhone can be a bit intimidating, especially now that multitasking is a possibility. Sometimes it’s hard to decide where to start with a machine like this. The iPhone Survival Guide provides shortcuts and suggestions for performing each task quickly and efficiently. I travel a lot and reading something like this is very useful when you are often on the go. I just don’t have the time to stop and figure out how to solve a problem. After reviewing this guide, I was more productive on and off the job.

Most of this book contains info you can pretty much figure out on your own but there are some helpful ideas. Author states that iphone4 cannot be charged when turned off--not true! I turn mine off in the evening before bed time and let it charge all night-- fully charged in the AM.

When the iPhone 4 just came out, I learned that it had many issues, such as the infamous “death grip” which reduced the signal from four bars to nil in a matter of seconds. Ever since, I’ve been searching for a viable solution to problems like this. No manuals, not even the Apple manual, have been able to give me satisfactory answers. However, after perusing the troubleshooting section in the iPhone 4 Survival Guide, I found exactly what I was looking for. It definitely shows that this writer did extensive research to find out about current problems and document them accurately and completely. Looking forward to more updates in this manual in the future!
