The leading lady is raped by the leading male. One of the most debilitating things for rape and assault victims is the guilt for when they felt any sort of arousal in an unwanted sexual situation.

I own several of LK’s books, and in general I like them, but this book straight up describes rape and attempts to have it be the start of a love story. The lead forces the woman, she cries and pleads no, and somehow because she ends up having an orgasm it’s ok. Really disappointing, I couldn’t get past it.

Wow wow . I accidentally read this book & I've never read anything but historical novel after this great book . It has great plots , great characters & a great ending . I have read this book 4 times , 2010 being the first time & I just finished reading it again in 2015 . That's should give you an insight on how good this author is .

Well i read back alot!!! First historical book ive ever read and three years later ive read all of Lisa kleypas's books and i only read historical romances. I just finished reading this book again and i swear you wont regret reading it . I laughed, cried and was extremely happy every time i read this book. Best and my all time favorite characters . I wish lisa would go back to writing historical novels again, ive read all her books over and over again!! 😍

This is my favorite historical novel . I love the story & the twists . It has mystery ,drama & of course romance . Ugh only if Justin was real!!

This is my absolute favorite books. I have over 14 books by Lisa Kleypas, and have enjoyed each and everyone. Only With My Love, however had more twists and character development then her previous books. I would like very much to see these characters continue further in this series. Similar to the Wallflowers series. I would very much like to read a continuation with Lysete and Max's daughters, grown up and falling in love. Thank for the enjoyment of your books!
