The final book in the story of Paul (as far as I know) and the beginning of a new chapter that opens up the universe of dune to endless possibilities. There was nothing in this book I didn’t enjoy and I’m excited to continue frank herberts journey.

Having read only up to this book in the Dune chronicles, Children of Dune is by far the best.

Personally, I find these books intriguing, but the character development often jumps, as opposed to gradual change. And sometimes it’s hard to link. I really I Very much enjoyed the read. But I did slow at some points.

Unbelievably good read, saw the movie became obsessed and now I’m three books deep (Messiah). Such an immersive universe you can get lost in. This for me is on par with Tolkien and Lewis in the world of fantasy.

This follows the Atreides children and their struggle with the legacy left for them. I’ve been devouring this series and this book was an AMAZING follow-up to Dune: Messiah. I almost put down the whole series at the end of Dune: Messiah, but now I can’t wait to read the next one and see where things lead. I’m genuinely grieving Paul Atreides in a way I didn’t expect to come from a book or two.

Children of Dune is excellent. I found it to be a more interesting, and more excellent follow up from Dune Messiah.
