The fact that this is under the business essentials category makes me question every other recommendation in the category. This book was the same premise repeated over and over, ad nauseam. Perhaps that would be acceptable if it was a novel idea, but it's not. Make yourself indispensable. There - I saved you $10 and hours of time. Please don't waste your money on this useless piece of low-level self-help garbage.

This is an incredible book outlining what make someone irreplaceable. This book is applicable to anyone and everyone living today, employee, entrepreneur, blogger, young, old, it doesn't matter. Just read this book and understand that we can all be artists and provide something of great benefit to this world.

Refreshing piece of the real world and how it works, mixed with a slice of inspiration, to do your part in making it better. Exactly what i needed to reaffirm my beliefs, and spring into action. Enjoyed every page. Thanks for the gift.

Had my own personal breakthrough while reading this book. Good stuff if you're open to the message!

Great insights on how you can free your mind and not get caught in the "it's a crappy job but at least it's steady" mentality. Yes, somebody has to work in the factory but it doesn't have to be you. Seth is brilliant but never so full of himself that he can't relate to the struggling artist in everyone. Highly recommended.

Amazing that a man can write so many words and waste none.

Seth Godin makes an excellent case to re-establish how you view your life, the work you are doing, and most importantly, how you contribute. Using the premise that everyone can be an artist, the key message is create something of value that is a gift ... And everything else will take care of itself. While I'm making this over simplistic, Godin details key themes, challenges, research to boost his approach. And with the great advent of technology, and flattening of the playing field, everyone who adopts this point of view sees the greater opportunity. In short, a good read that leverages many of his earlier concepts in the marketing realm

I've done this for the past 3 yrs at a large financial corporation prior to reading this book and it works beyond your wildest dreams. I agree with the entire work and now have a map of sorts to share with what will hopefully become former cogs at work. Thank you for putting this art into an easy to share medium.

Godin mashes past and current to deliver passion, thoughtfulness and creativity. An injection of "hey this is it!" combined with the dare to do it. It being your work.
