This book was so hard to put down. It was so stinkin good and kept me wanting more. I have not had the time to read in years and finally chose this one to start again, such a good start and reminder of why I love to read.
  • Another good Bosch novel.

The story in this book took a little longer than most to get started, but, as always, when it got going the book couldn’t be put down.

After I read a couple of chapters, I had to check to make sure that this was still Harry Bosch series. In this book, he's only a secondary character and the main one is McCaleb. It's also very frustrating to read what other characters thought of Harry Bosch because they were wrong. We knew about Bosch's history and cases from previous books so it's frustrating to read the wrong conclusios from these new characters.
  • Another great Bosch read

I've been in love with Detective Bosch thru many years of seeing thru to his soul, watching him struggle to be the prince of the darkness and come thru it a better man. Once again, a book written so well, you can smell the air change from early morning mist to late night cigarettes smoked in guilt, sitting on the back deck, it looks out over the city that Bosch wants to claim as his personal paradise. As soon as he arrests all the criminals that is!
  • Great read
