Description

When Kevin Murdock, martial artist and outdoorsman extraordinaire, is revived from suspended animation aboard a transport pod, he and his nine fellow occupants have no idea what to expect.

Murdock argues for caution after seeing something strange: animals also inhabit their new environment, all of them larger than their Earthly counterparts. Conflict soon erupts between Murdock and James Whittier - a politician with a lust for power and control.

But soon, they all realize that there's something even more dangerous onboard... something that might cost them all their lives.

Writing style is very dry and not my cup of tea. I did like outline.

Best page turner I’ve read in a long time. Characters are are well developed and very human in their ordeals.this universe is exciting and I look forward to many more stories examining it.

Good character development. Written from the heart. The author has a good grasp of the crippling, repulsive effects of the self entitlement, the unconscious and arrogant effects of a life spent with an unexamined sense of privilege. He also captures many of the qualities of the psychopath. His cunning and his twisted and perverse rationality. It’s possible to see these very same qualities reflected in our actual politicians, corporate heads, higher ranking military officers. Good world building and survival skills. Good emotional connection to the protagonists. I have known for a long time that the bear people were smarter than anyone gave them credit for.
