When Mariana’s ex who abandoned her when she was pregnant with Cole waltzes back into town home to reconnect she panics and tells him she’s dating her best friend Tanner. Tanner spends much of his days surfing, but he’s a business owner and a secret artist. He should be proud of his accomplishments, but instead he keeps downplaying them. He also acts immature at times like taking on a bet with Mariana’s ex over her. Mariana wasn’t perfect either. She should have told Cole the truth sooner instead of focusing on the mystery of what Johnny was doing to earn money.

I loved this book so much, I had so many emotions! I was excited, thrilled, sad, angry, happy, shocked, feelings of the love expressed. So many emotions. I loved it so much! Mariana is a single mother of a young boy named Cole. One day, her ex and the father of her son shows up wanting to be a part of their life again. Tanner is the guy who surfs and is pretty chill about life. Mariana is his best friend. When Mariana asks Tanner to pretend to be a couple, things get complicated. I absolutely adore every one of the Kelly family. Their milkshake addiction makes me crave a milkshake every time I read about it, I think it might become my new favorite drink! But this story was absolutely perfect to show how love comes about in the most unexpected ways.
