The author ruined this book by literally treating the leads like children. I finally stopped at 67% after skimming and skipping chapters because se of this. Grown ups communicate and the legal issue is not accurate and sneaking to 2 make out sessions over the course of a few months is not a slow burn it’s a waste of my time with ridiculousness!

I had quite a few laughs reading this story. The characters were fantastic and the story was interesting and entertaining.

This story is beautifully crafted. The descriptive prose and the dialogue drew me in, made the characters and their environment come alive. This read was a deliciously slow burn. Exquisitely sweet touches like the “magic” and the salt of the earth supporting characters. And, I have to mention the animals - they brought humor, heart, and depth to the story, too. Wow, wow, wow ...great job by this author.
