It was very amazing and clear in covering a wide variety of situations and how to handle them to avoid or diffuse situations rather than make conflicts and win people to your side.

Definitely makes you aware of those who use manipulation to get what they want. It is a thick book, great for those who enjoy listening to it.

Best book I’ve ever read on persuasion. In my opinion way better than how to win friends and influence people. Much more deep and detailed. I have seen endless results in real life.

I learned a great deal of information from listening to this book. It truly helped me understand people's thoughts and behaviors, and why they do the things they do. Reading to people goes deeper than just detecting their body language or facial expressions, so I enjoyed learning the techniques on how to analyze people even more. This book also helped me grow aware of the signals that I convey to people as well when they meet up with me. I enjoyed the part in the book where the author talked about the different kinds of eye contact - definitely an interesting thing to be aware of and learn from! Human nature is such an intriguing topic, so I really like reading to these types of books where I can learn a lot from them.

I gave this rating because it’s one of the best books I've listened to that is hypothetically written and the methods shared are practical and easy to apply to our daily life. What I like about this book is that it brings you through the cognitive side of the experience. It greatly enhanced my social and emotional intelligence, and better understand the people that I loved. Highly recommended!

A practical guide with useful examples and a rationale informed by psychology, with a degree of research-based substantiation. Definitely worth read and pleasantly shorter than I anticipated.
  • Gave a good idea on human motivations.

It certainly increased my understanding of the human mind. How motivations guide people’s behavior and how you can tell a lot about a person from the facial expression, body language, voice, and other cues. Why we like a person or hate, how ego plays role in our behavior are meaningful takeaways. Recommend it.

As an introvert, I felt like I already mastered the art of reading people. This book opened my eyes to all that I don't know. It provides insight and advanced knowledge into the process of reading and manipulating people. I enjoyed the information about micro and macro expressions have always focused on the big picture read people like a book has broadened my outlook and allowed me to look at the bigger picture in sections and as a whole.
