Technically, I guess you could call it a Christmas book because the setting is at Christmas & a good bit of the plot revolves around a big Christmas party. But this book would have been good if all of that had been different. It’s just a very uplifting book with an underlying theme of living your best life & finding what makes you happy.

When Mia Broadhurst’s Grandma passes away, Christmas just won’t be the same. Mia decides to return to Winsted Cape, an absolutely beautiful seaside village. Now completely blanketed in Christmas snow, it is the only place Mia wants to be to feel closer to her grandmother during the holidays. Mia lives and works in New York City at a Public Relations firm. So keeping up the Lighthouse that her Grandma Ruth used to run isn’t going to work for Mia. Mia works with realtor Will Thacker and they begin to restore the Lighthouse so that she can sell it. Will and Mia are spending a lot of time together working on the Lighthouse, and Will is working through his own heartbreaking issues. But when, Mia, her mother and her sister are packing up her Grandma Ruth’s possessions, Mia finds an old black and white photo with an inscription on it. When Mia finds out the truth about the inscription, will she return to New York and never look back at Winsted Cape, or at the Lighthouse again, or will it change her life forever? I absolutely loved this story. The “Queen of Christmas” Jenny Hale, never disappoints. The characters in this book felt like family, while the detailed description of the village and the Lighthouse whisks you away to the Cape. This story literally brought joy to my heart. Grab a blanket, a hot cup of cocoa, and let the holiday season begin. This beautifully written and heartwarming, magical Christmas story is sure to be a favorite. Thank you Jenny Hale for another heartwarming, inspirational and uplifting story. This is one that will continue to resonate in me for a very long time. This, read in one sitting, unputdownable, phenomenal page turner, is a wonderful and beautiful must read and I highly recommend this book.

Jenny Hale perfectly captures the meaning of the Christmas Spirit with this heart warming and hopeful read about family, love, loss, and second chances. Mia’s life is not going the way she had planned, with a divorce looming, Mia returns from NYC to her hometown to help her mother and sister get ready to sell her grandmother’s house and lighthouse, due to her grandmother’s death. But before she sells the lighthouse, Mia decides to host her company’s Christmas party at the lighthouse in order to honor her grandmother one last time. With the people she meets and connects with in her home town, will this give Mia the space she needs to figure out her future? Will Mia get the happy ending she is looking for or will she get sucked back into her NYC life? This book will have you turning the pages to find out as you see Mia’s journey unfold with the unexpected!
