Kept my attention from the beginning! Read in one sitting. Great storyline and character development. A truly enjoyable read!

This book really walked the line between not good and okay, for me. Some parts were good while other parts made my eyes roll.

What a brilliant introduction to books by Kaci Rose! Axel and Emelie’s book had me in it’s grip from word 1. I was enraptured to the very end. I can’t wait to read every book Kaci has written!

4 Stars Take Me to The River was my first book by author Kaci Rose. This is book 1 of The Mountain Men of Whiskey River Series. Insta love/ Insta Lust story with forced proximity Emelie - is on a camping trip and is left behind by her ex after discovering his cheating. She is stranded but starts walking and heads in the wrong direction. She meets Axel along the way and with the weather conditions she is forced into the option of staying at his place. Axel leads a sad and lonely life for 12 years but he had such a caring heart along with his protective and dominant side. Within hours there is dry humping and a few days for them to seal the deal. Decisions to make when the ex reappears but can her love for her giant man exceed what she knows. A fast-moving story told in dual POV with dual narration. Definitely some spicy sexy time with great dirty talk! Krys Janae and Javi Wilder were both enjoyable narrators.

I’m the kinda gal that likes LONG Slowed paced novels, although this is exactly the opposite, this one right here is EXACTLY what I needed. Recommend 10/10 to those who love romance but loves “action”;)

4.8 stars This is the first book in the Mountain Men of Whiskey River series and the first I have read by the author. This is a moving storyline about learning the true meaning of love. Emelie is working at a job that does not give her joy and dating the boss’s son. As she and her boyfriend decide to take a camping trip, the unexpected happens and Emelie learns that her boyfriend is not the man she thought he was. When she confronts him, he does the unthinkable and Emelie is left stranded in the woods with nothing. Axel is a man who left city life to create a new one where he is at peace. He finds Emelie walking around and from their first encounter it was like lightning striking as the two are drawn to each other. The more time they spend together, their feelings grow. Overall, this is a wonderful storyline that highlights the depth of feeling of a gentle giant towards his Emelie that will have you wanting your own mountain man. I look forward to reading more from this author.
