The authors indulge in severe abuse against women. Rape, violence, victim blaming and shaming. Gross.

I have read few books by Natasha Knight but this was first time I’ve read A Zavarelli or collaboration between these two authors. This was hand down a well written and I devoured this book. I literally binge read this book and now I am anxiously waiting for the second book. This is a dark romance like no other . Its one of the best beauty n beast theme story I have read n It was such an addictive read. It was dark , gritty and all consuming. The story blew my mind and the characters were well sketched and quite complex. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Dark and sinister! A secret society, extreme wealth, deadly enemies and deadlier power struggles. That's the setup for this dark romance with delicious characters. The Phantom of the Opera-esque Santiago and the taken bride Ivy. She's a pawn in a deadly game of revenge but who's the real culprit to Santiago's pain and turmoil? Santi thinks it's her father but that appears to be false. He's a scarred devil that's out to seek revenge on the innocent Ivy when he takes her as his wife. I hate this society that treats women like possessions with no rights. I like Ivy as she stiffens her spine and stands strong for the most part. But she has a soft spot for her husband and it's between her legs. Yup, he's brutal and broken but he's a sexy beast with a tenderness for his wife at times. It's all plots and villains and surprise twists especially that OMG ending that leaves our couple in peril and so many awful characters as the responsible party to the mayhem that ensues. What a cliffhanger! I can't wait for more of this couple and the underhandedness of this archaic society. Deliciously dark!

Requiem of the Soul is the first book in the Society Trilogy, a Sovereign Sons novel, and does end on a cliffhanger. Ivy has been chosen. Being born already part of a secret society, she doesn’t have many choices except to obey. Wed to a monster, she quickly realizes how much her husband loves her tears, but will Santiago break Ivy in every way, or can they learn to compromise and bend towards each other instead? Wow. Just thinking about this book has my heart pounding again, with both the unknown of the future between Ivy and Santiago, with their dark passion that runs between these pages, and with all of the secrets, lies, and treachery that flows within the soul of this book and society. There are so many questions about their past that has me wondering, plus add in how the book ended and I am practically grasping for breath at what will come next! Ivy craves a different life, one where she can pick her own destiny, and even though she tries her best to go with the flow with what Santiago has planned for her, I loved that she always seemed to have a backbone to stand against him. Her body might crave his dark dominance, but her mind rebels against his domineering ways. Santiago is damaged, all Alpha, and I loved that he was so possessive of Ivy. All of her pain and suffering needed to come by him. Their chemistry was so thick and intense, dark and the exact opposite of sweet, but I did love seeing the few tender moments that existed between Santiago and Ivy. There’s a lot of set up in the beginning, but I think that helped to set some of the suspense and thrilling action that left me on the edge of my seat. I started this book in the afternoon and barely put the book down until I was done! Way past my bedtime, again! Haha! So good, though! I loved this book! While I don’t enjoy cliffhangers, I do know that I’m highly anticipating what will happen next in their dark and twisted romance and am excited to see if any questions will be answered or if I’ll only have more!

A dark tortured hero. A heroine whose life is turned on end. A secret society steeped in tradition, who controls more than you'll ever know. This book is everything I love in a dark romance. All the twists and turns. All the surprises and intrigue. Santiago swears revenge on Ivy's family, and she's the poor soul who gets to suffer for their sins. But she's more than he bargained for, and giving into her might just be the thing that brings him down. I'm still reeling from this book, and completely unable and unwilling to move on. I loved Santiago and Ivy so much, and I'm so excited to see more about this world.
