Another good read, Good storyline, great characters, lots of intrigue and steam. Alpha men, strong women. I’m enjoying this series.

Kennedy has been putting her life back together after escaping being held by human traffickers. She does public speaking and writes books to help educate woman on how to avoid and fight back if being abducted. Coming home from a speaking event she finds her apartment on fire. Thankfully she was smart enough to cal Reyes. Reyes knows something has happened to Kennedy so he watches her when she is at the gym. Something about her sparks something in him. When Kennedy calls him for help he jumps at the chance. Kennedy is determined not only to help others but also her friend Jodi. Thankfully the McKenzies are there to do just that. I loved Kennedy’s strength and determination. Reyes and Kennedy are such a perfect match. Thank you Lori for bringing more light to Human Trafficking. This is a huge problem and women need to educate and protect themselves.

Loved this story. Reyes and Kennedy are so good together. The chemistry is off the charts and Reyes will do everything he can to keep her safe. Stronger than you know so describes Kennedy, she doesn't want to rely on anyone especially a man, however, Reyes works hard to make Kennedy feel safe and in cared for, its hard not to want that feeling to continue. The McKenzie family is there to back Reyes and Kennedy even when Kennedy feels overwhelmed. You have to love a family that works for the greater good so that those who feel helpless and out of control, can get unexpected help. You can see the family evolve from the first story with Cade and Sterling and you can't help but love them all. This is a must ready for any Lori Foster fan.

Even though the subject matter wasn’t the most pleasant and it happens more than we know or can even fathom, this story about Kennedy and Reyes was enjoyable. Kennedy was much stronger than she believed and Reyes cared more than he thought possible. The way he handled Jodi impressed Kennedy. It, also, showed that he and his family knew more than she ever would imagine. I’m looking forward to Madison and Crosby’s story.
