I was there

This book is like reliving part of my life. Jeff signed my band to a publishing deal with Zomba right before Xero, Korn, Limp Bizkit, or Macy Gray. Not only is the book inspiring on many levels, it’s super accurate from the Whiskey show to Jeff’s office. I was there.
Jeff was always willing to do whatever it took to make the groups he was involved with successful, especially the lucky artists he took under his wing and developed from the beginning. As an artist you just feel this is normal. But it’s not. Development like this doesn’t exist anymore and was rare to begin with. He got us a major record label too.
People don’t understand what it takes mentally, emotionally, and physically to persevere through rejection after agonizing rejection and the passion to make an artist successful. That complete drive and determination especially when there’s label issues and pressure will always create conflict between band members and A&R. The same happened with us, but it’s that drive that creates the successes that change the world.
This book is genuine and honest, truly an amazing read. You don’t have to be a fan of Linkin to love it, but who can deny the talent, passion, and perseverance of this incredible band.
