This is the second book in the Lathar Mercenaries ( Warborne ) series , I’m hoping to read stories of the other Warborne crew . This is about Marika a human female and Altav ( Skinny ) . Marika stowed away on the Warborne ship and ended up hitting Altav over the head . She was trying to escape her father who was cruel and abusive and was planning on selling her again to someone who’s wives didn’t live long . Read how Marika and Altav end up husband and wife while the rest of the Warborne help to keep them safe.

3.5 stars. I really couldn’t connect with Altav and Marika as a couple. My expectations for the story were higher. Enjoyable read nonetheless. Really love the cast of characters. The story would not have made it without their antics. The romantic relationship wasn’t believable. Also, Marika was kind of TSTL. I do love the Warborne crew. They are fun. Look forward to reading more.

The Warborne live up to their reputation again. These guys remind me of a sci-fi A-Team, if you have a problem and you don’t see anyway out, if you can find the Warborne and they agree to help, you have it made. And if you are a woman and catch the eye of one of these incredible men of integrity and strength you will be blessed. In an ever expanding “world” the Lathar and a few other honorable races need women, but they also need redemption. This fun action packed romance has fully formed and sympathetic characters, an intriguing setting, and writing that draws you in for the whole thrilling ride.
