There is so much to this book. I laughed in parts. I cried in parts. I needed a fan in parts (Foster definitely kicked up the steam in this one!) I couldn't put it down, but I didn't want it to end. Some of the things Tracey and Diesel have to navigate are hard; but they are always there for each other. Foster has an incredible knack for incorporating some very hard aspects of life into her books, but showing us what family should really be about and that with the right support system, anything can be accomplished and overcome. One of my favorite lines - "Romanced - Diesel style". Every woman should get to experience that!

Running on Diesel is hands down my favorite book of the series! I loved Tracey and Diesel so much. Their banter is so, so funny, the tension is thick, and the sexy times are steamy.

Diesel Black and Tracey Kline finally get their story told by Melissa Foster in Running On Diesel. If you think Melissa has already written the most alpha, overprotective, man EVER then you need to be introduced to Diesel (Desmond) Black!! Holy Moly that man is so alpha and protective of Tracey he just keeps getting hotter with every page you read. Tracey has also fought her share of demons and begins to blossom under the praise of Diesel, her new friends, and the Whiskey’s. Absolutely loved the real story of Diesel and Tracey and not just the HOT as sin between-the-sheets action that Melissa sure can write!! You might want a cold shower ladies!! Oh, keep some tissues handy for those amazingly emotional and heart wrenching scenes too! This story has all the feels. If Running On Diesel is your first Melissa Foster what an amazing story to start with. No need to worry Melissa’s stories are written as stand alones but I will encourage you to go back and read the prior stories as well.*****

I’ve always wondered about Diesel since he’s always seemed a loner and this story helped define who Diesel is on his own and with the Whiskey’s and the brotherhood. I enjoyed watching him and Tracey ‘flirt’ with each other and to see that specific moment when everything changed. When you find out about both of their pasts, it would be enough to break either of them, but I feel like it’s helped them rise above what they’ve gone through to be who they are today. I feel like a lot of the ghosts of the past were laid to rest for these two so to speak and Diesel found out a lot about his life which helped to calm the restlessness within him. I was very surprised with what he found out. Some of my favorite parts of this book was Red and her mama love, everyone needs a Red in their life and of course Kennedy and her ‘boyfriends’ was such a fun part of this story. My favorite quote from this book is, “Don’t beat yourself up for past mistakes. Keep your eyes on the road ahead.” I’m very curious about Dr. Rhys and of course looking forward to the next story.

Tracey and Diesel are an unlikely couple until Diesel comes to Tracey’s rescue and she sees the gentler side to him. Running from demons in his past, as Diesel and Tracey spend more time together, she is the missing piece that will make his life whole again. After leaving an abusive relationship, Tracey decides to put her trust into the brooding biker knowing deep down he's got a heart of gold. Running on Diesel is another great story of tortured souls finding what's missing to obtain their HEA. There are moments that will make you chuckle, as well as swoon and the chemistry of these two characters is off the charts. Another great one by Melissa Foster.

Melissa knocks it out of the park again. I loved Diesel and Tracey. Watching Diesel and Tracey throughout the Whiskey series I couldn’t wait until their book came out. Diesel is a nomad in the Dark Knights since his mother passed away. He’s locked up his heart. Tracey fled an abusive relationship and found her way into the Parkvale Women’s shelter that is protected by the Dark Knights. Tracey is picking her self up and won’t let another overbearing man keep her down, hint Diesel. Diesel is just looking out for Tracey. Whenever Tracey and Diesel are around each other sparks fly. When Diesel and Tracey finally get together can they both over come their past hurts to create something amazing? Loved this book

Adore this book and everything Melissa Foster!

The build up of the fire between Diesel and Tracey intensifies, all bets are in let’s see who caves first. I am off to make the popcorn. *Grins* Desmond “Diesel” Black may be a growlly Nomad Bounty Hunter, a member of the Dark Knights MC Club, but he has such empathy and compassion in one of his thick pinkies, then most men have in their entire lives. Now the big mammoth of a man has to decide on how to handle the under five foot fireball heading his way. In truth Diesel knew there was something between, the problem was he didn’t know what that was. Tracey Kline now here is a heroine who has been through a great many of things, some worse then any one can imagine. Tracey is getting herself back on track, well there is on issue on her plate she needs to figure out. “Diesel”. This man test her at every moment that they are in the same room together. Well today is the day Tracey takes the big man down and gets the answers she is looking for or at least come to an understanding between them. Running on Diesel is a very emotional read in so many ways, but then again I shouldn’t have expected anything less when it comes to Author Melissa Foster. Ms. Foster never disappoints in giving us strong emotional alphas and strong, tuff as nails women that know what they want and go after it. The family dynamics, to leaning to give and to let go are nothing short of wonderful and heartbreaking at times. There is a strong connection of family blood and heart and true friendships. Running on Diesel has a few twist and turns that had me in shock and in so many tears, there is no doubt there is so much love flowing through the pages of Running on Diesel I hope it warms your heart as it did mine. Oh how this story has worked its way deep into my heart. It’s been amazing to read how Tracey has grown over the years into the sassy woman in this book. She was broken before, but with the Whiskey’s and Diesel in her corner she was able to gain confidence in herself and flourish. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Diesel because he’s so gruff and stingy with his words. Tracey not only brings out his protective instincts she allows him the freedom to share his emotions. And when that man finally talks more than one or two word answers you understand that he means everything he says. With the last release of Sweet, Sexy Heart last month and now Running on Diesel these two books are sitting at my #2 and #3 top reads of the year.

This was a well-written, entertaining book. While sexy and steamy, it was also sweet and tender. It held my interest and I didn’t want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
